Outreach programs at two Canadian universities are trying to help Black male students find community and avoid feelings of isolation on campus that lead them to drop out at higher rates than other groups.

All Staller Center Arts and Education Outreach programs are free of charge to the campus and community and fully supported by generous private donations to the Barbara N. Wien Fund and the Educational Outreach Endowment from individuals who value advancing the arts in young people’s lives.
We invite you to join us at a Staller Center Arts & Education Outreach program and experience the excitement in the air. The Staller Center is dedicated to providing cultural arts experiences and educational opportunities to the local community and Stony Brook University students of all ages from preschool through young adult. Some Educational Outreach programs include First on Us, Seats 4 Students, Staller Kids Series, Virtual Educational Resources and the ever-popular Instrument Petting Zo...

All Staller Center Arts and Education Outreach programs are free of charge to the campus and community and fully supported by generous private donations to the Barbara N. Wien Fund and the Educational Outreach Endowment from individuals who value advancing the arts in young people’s lives.
We invite you to join us at a Staller Center Arts & Education Outreach program and experience the excitement in the air. The Staller Center is dedicated to providing cultural arts experiences and educational opportunities to the local community and Stony Brook University students of all ages from preschool through young adult. Some Educational Outreach programs include First on Us, Seats 4 Students, Staller Kids Series, Virtual Educational Resources and the ever-popular Instrument Petting Zoo.
The Staller Center's Educational Outreach Programming shares the arts with SBU students at both University and Hospital Campuses as well as providing complimentary tickets and arts workshops to Stony Brook Children's Hospital, Stony Brook Cancer Center and Stony Brook Medicine.
Since 2005, contributions to the Staller Center's Educational Outreach Program areas have grown 80% and have provided over 5,000 complimentary tickets to children and SBU students.
Over 7,500 school-age children have benefited over the years from the various programming efforts.
The Staller Center works with 15 school districts, 73 local libraries, and 58 non-profit organizations on Long Island.
Since 2014, the Staller Center's Educational Outreach program has provided over 9,500 live performance tickets to SBU students, local schools, and community groups.
